Putting car away when?
#32
I drove my up north today to put it into storage. Nice day for a little blast,no traffic and a heater that mostly works. I figured that it was time having recently discovered cold weather handling quirks! I did remember to pop the speedo out since I need a little winter project.

yeah, there is an older lawyer in town with a well used, maybe abused, 993 C4, a lady with a tip 996 cab, and another older lady with a tip 987 Boxster S in yellow that she drives year round. Plus a few Cayennes, but they don't count as real Pcars, right?
And there is a guy in the south of town who is a car collector, but barely drives them. He had a GT2, but I think now he has older 911, 986 Boxster S, and a 996TT plus the usual Vipers, Vettes etc.
I own the only Cayman S in town. I also had the first S2000 in town, until a friend's father purchased one a week after I took delivery.
Any good roads up in Seagrave?

Well I have one drive left ... After last Saturdays Meet I parked her as I had to fly out. I get to do one more wash and then drive to dry her out , after that she is done and the tail comes off for my winter project. I am always super carefull as I have heard of several accidents on the "last drive" of the season. I guess it is a combination of cooler tires, and the last bit of adrenilin before she goes away..

Everything is straight around here!
And people wonder why I speed up when I actually find a corner.
Going from 12 onto 47 can be a blast.
Lots of room for track out.
I had to go up to Muskoka this week to get my last ya ya's out.

Man, there has been snow on the ground, and the roads are like crap since the 3rd week of October.
Makes feel like you guys live in Africa or something.

Put it away yesterday, after going to the GTG at Starbucks, warming it up, washing it, changing the oil, and doing a leak-down check.
1500KM since the rebuild, and only one little oil leak (the big fitting on the side of the case above the heat exchanger). Leakdown results are excellent, so the rings have seated well.
Winter projects include fixing the front fiberglass and incorporating better brake ducts, and sending the ECU to Steve Wong to reprogram using the results of the dyno work I did a couple weeks ago. And, of course a bunch of liitle mainly cosmetic things.
