Does Hunter mount/balance tires?

Another update to the 993 Cab saga...the deal is not happening. We were finalizing the documents yesterday so I could wire him the full selling price and the seller refused to share his address with me. Even went as far as to black out the address on the copy of the title that he sent me for "security reasons", after specifically asking that I add my address to the bill of sale. I'm not sure how he expected me to wire him US$70k without his address for the wire documents. Or where should I send the truck? Just too strange. Every step of this deal was just a little off, from the odometer breaking, the PPI documents being incomplete, the 2 weeks of silence, no response from Brent or TFX after multiple messages. Too many issues, so I am happy that I decided to pass. Still a very nice car, but not one for me.
The silly thing about the address situation is that all of that info is public record in the US. A simple google search will show names, addresses, ages, how much your house cost and when you bought it. I knew all of that info for weeks...

I bought a Corvette from a private seller in the US about 4 years ago and this was needed. Don’t know if the US requirements have changed at all.

Yes, he has to supply an EIN that he actually had no problem getting from the IRS website - takes 10 minutes.
Another update, Brent got back to me this morning, so all is good with Hunter for those wondering. He is just extremely busy I guess. What I really like about Brent is that he doesn't mind if you bring your own parts. On a 993 ignition wire set that saves about $580 over what Mantis charges for the same set of wires.

I don’t think so Iceman. I know where he lives. I spoke to the GM where the PPI was done and he knew the seller from previous dealings. I think he just got paranoid about being scammed. I just wish he would have shared any concerns earlier as I could have easily provided references from Rennlist that would have put any fears to rest. He never mentioned any concerns until he sent the redacted title.
Thanks Ronan. It certainly takes the fun out of things when issues like this happen. I put a lot of time into this one and I need a rest before trying this again! Hopefully, I’ll find something local…

Frustrating indeed - especially factoring in the amount of time spent. As most of us know the one thing we can't buy is more time. I once had a dealing with a paranoid seller when I was buying a new DD for my wife - the seller was selling her late father's SUV (and had clearly never sold a private vehicle before). I agreed to but it sight unseen given the low mileage (9k) and I had a good feeling given her dad was a WWII vet etc. - she was hesitant about accepting a certified cheque and or cash so I almost walked having no other means to pay. Short story long but as it turns out we worked for the same company so that gave her some comfort in that she could at least 'report me' to someone in the event I gave a rubber cheque or a handful of fake brown bills. Humanoids can certainly be an odd species at times.

Some US DMV’s are slow as hell!
I think the prevalence of scams these days has made everyone more paranoid than normal. There is risk doing long distance deals, so if you don’t have the stomach for it, stay local.
