I wondered why Porsche stopped listing the model year when you build a car on the configurator, but now I think I know why. When you look at used inventory, you have the option to view the car in the configurator. However, it doesn't show the old costs that were in place when the car was built, it shows the current year pricing. For example, there is a nice 2022 base 992 for sale in BC for $136,000. When you open it in the configurator, it shows a price in the mid-$150's, so it doesn't look too bad. However, the base msrp back then was $15,000 less than today! So, you are basically paying the old MSRP for a 2 year old car with 10k km - not such a great deal.

I just had a dealer out west reach out to me with 7 incoming 911's and 3 configurable 911's. All variants...most have $25k plus in options. PM me if you want details. I have not dealt with this SA, but we did communicate about a Carrera T and he was very responsive.

I got an email from the West about buying a GT4RS recently. They wanted "do what is best for the store" and could sell it to me if I bought a $190k Taycan, it was presented as a bundle deal.

Glad I have a good dealer to work with.

Not a crazy bad deal? I am assuming the msrp on the Tycan is $190k?

Re-sell the Tycan even at a $25k loss and you are still ahead.
