Great session with the IDS students today! Had a blast with you folks, and good seeing lots of familiar faces. I need to bring my car back! I won't be at the track tomorrow, so I'll see you all next month!

Still waiting to get my "pending" status updated for the Aug & Sep events

Quick question: What is the lunch arrangement like on these PCA days ?

It's BYO lunch, or you can buy something from the facility there.

I think you'll know closer to August if you'll be accepted into the IDS school for August. It's in super high demand!

Re: Lunch - different groups will either have a catered or BYO lunch situation. With PCA UCR, it is now BYO lunch (which I personally prefer.) Nutrition is important at the track so I get to control how I fuel myself throughout the day. The afternoons after lunch are where you see people trail off due to a heavy lunch and you don't see the same consistency they had in the morning session.

@uniquenamehere Sorry I missed you at the track (again!) I spent my day in the classroom session and down in Paddock C with the IDS students.

It would be great if PCA UCR would confirm earlier so I will have enough time to arrange for Tech inspection.

Just book one now and cancel it later if need be. Shouldn't be an issue for the shop, you'll have a number of days notice.

Ditto. Do a tech inspection anyway and if things don't work out, just cancel.

Or just get it done as it's free. They might find something that you don't know about that should be fixed like a wheel bearing.

good advice as some parts take a while to get, or the shop may not have the time avail to do the repair if last minute.

btw not all shops do tech inspection for free.

I usually do it 2 weeks+ out... they're valid 21 days i think. That way I've got a fighting chance to have things fixed and get it re-inspected.

Not free, I was quoted $75 at one of the authorized shops. Are they suppose to be free ?
Where are you getting it for free ? May be I should go there

It should be free but not all shops are free.

I take my car to Porsche Centre North Toronto and Oakville and they will often slip it in as service but you need to tell them it's for PCA UCR and they will waive it. The newer/inexperienced service reps will often have to ask someone about it. If your shop insists, try another place. If I'm also getting service or a repair done, Mantis does it for free.
