This is my biggest beef with Porsche dealers, there's always an underlying arrogance...quite funny at times given that few of them can afford one.

I took delivery of a 992 GT3 on Oct. 1, no such nonsense.

If you have no history with a SA I wonder how "getting an allocation" would go these days?

A lot of these SAs really do judge a book by its cover. The first guy I was "assigned" to was super rude to me and my father. He probably thought we were there to just take the car for a joyride.

I asked to be switched over to another SA and I immediately put down a deposit for a 992 C4S.

It's horrible. The most successful salespeople I find are down to earth.

I purposely make large in-person purchases while wearing gym clothes

I do the exact same thing and specifically ask for the youngest, least experienced person...

I do feel sorry for sales people that have a product people want, but can't supply the demand due to no fault of their own. That must be extremely frustrating.

I somehow lucked out. Have zero prior Porsche history. Approached dealership back in May for a 992 C2S and put down a refundable $2000 deposit to register interest and received an allocation just 2 weeks later.

I had a similar experience. Went to a Porsche dealership for the first time in June, asked for a 992 C4S Cab and got an allocation in July.

I think that things have tightened up significantly since around August.

If so, what does this mean? I'll never get an allocation for a Porsche again? Talk about first world problems.
Sounds like you don't care for a Porsche at all, now or in the future. If the experience is that bad, why are you still buying the car? Just get your deposit back! If you really don't care for a Porsche, you can go buy something else, no one is begging you to, I am sure your sales guy can sell that spot to someone else in a heart beat. And seriously, where on the contract does it say that they MUST sell you the car? What can you do if they do cancel your deal, other than bitch and complain? Seriously, you sound worse than an Anti-vaxxer.

It's not a porsche thing, it's an individual issue. Never had any issues with porsche or audi or mb, or bmw, they all generally treat people well but the ARE salespeople and will make assumptions from time to time.
We all get you hate porsche, maybe move on to something we haven't heard before from you.
