My late Mother-in-law was a wise women with a formal education from Vassar and Berkley (before it went bad). She was also one of my best friends.
Forty years ago when my Mother-in-law was the age I am now, she said this:
"WHEN YOU'RE MY AGE, YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU'RE NEARLY DEAD"
At the time it didn't make much sense to me but now that I'm at the age she was when she made that statement I know exactly what she meant. Thank God I don't have any kids.
