We now have effective and benign vaccines (specifically the mRNA ones that by definition cannot cause illness or have any serious side effects) to PREVENT disease, yet a group of wackos are latching on conspiracy theories pushing forward ineffective and dangerous drugs that would at best TREAT said disease with very little effect if any, and at worst kill the patient. I simply don't understand the complete lack of logic or reason in that approach. Why would anyone sane advocate and push forward the idea of travelling with a scalpel and a bone saw to hack off their own leg should they get bitten by a venomous snake while they walk around in their flip-flops in the desert, when proper hiking boots that would prevent said bite in the first place exist and are readily available?

The exact cause of PPD is not known, but it likely involves a combination of biological and psychological factors. The fact that PPD is more common in people who have close relatives with schizophrenia and delusional disorder suggests a genetic link between the two disorders (may run in the family). It is also believed that early childhood experiences, including physical or emotional trauma, play a role in the development of PPD.

It's easy to miss the implied risk of the other side of any yes/no choice. By choosing not to vaccinate, you are basically choosing to get infected by COVID-19 and its variants at some point in the future. Delta is simply too contagious to avoid over a long period of time until most of the world has been vaccinated. From that point, there's a very clear risk of acute death or acute/chronic disability for all age groups. However, there's much more to the story than that because there is so much we don't know about SARS-CoV-2. Consider that if instead of this virus, it was chicken pox (varicella) that had just broken out around the world. In that case, we would live on for *decades* before latent viruses in victims' bodies gave them shingles. For all we know, the covid version of shingles could be 100% lethal and recovered patients only have a decade to live.
Is that likely? I suspect not, but there's risk on either side of the choice, and the known risk is strongly skewed in favour of vaccination.
