I’m going to buy an old kidnapper van, and leave it at the bottom on the ski hill. I will change in there and leave my stuff in it. It will be my locker.
I found this one on the darkweb, obviously it needs to be repainted. This is soooo early spring.

Stores are getting busy, today Skis and bikes, and Corbett’s were both running with appointments and long delays for any walk-ins.

We ended up getting new gear for my son at Squire Johns near Blue. He has very long narrow feet and John did a great job fitting the new boots. We got the boots yesterday but I wanted to do more research on the skis for U12, turns out the Dynastars he suggested were spot on so I just called to have them put aside.

Stock is flying off the shelves so Get R Done.

Checked in a Sign of the Skier this afternoon, still waiting on stock for boots and skis from the manufactures and suggested we check back Friday.

Mt St Louis Podium passes just opened for sale, it's a bit of a process to order and you'll need pics for each pass holder. Now if we can get the girls ski boots we'll be set for the season.

Ya, the supply chain has definitely seen challenges because of COVID. Especially with many factories being in Europe.

Looks like the Mt St Louis Podium Passes were popular, they sold out in 24hours. I knew they were only planning on releasing a limited amount to still be able to sell day passes while limiting the numbers on the hill but figured a week min to sell out. I did manage to grab 4 for the family, all we need now is the snow.

^ Friends of ours were going to get passes, I hope they got them.

I finally got a rack for the Golf R, snagged a used one for $200 tonight, $468 plus tax from the deaer is simply ridicoulous when they are just of $200 new in the states. Picking up my son's SL and GS skiis this weekend. We are a set. (Covid can screw off)

A friend has a place in Whistler and bought a seasons pass and he’s worried about getting on the slopes. He said the CV matter has reduced the lift capacity by a half so 25,000 instead of 50,000 daily. That’s for both mountains. Also you can’t just show up at the lift. You have to book an appointment. As of last week he didn’t know the mechanics of that. Just an FYI. and good skiing, that’s a great place.

The R is ready. Just need snow now. Snagged an OEM Audi rooftop box today and will sell the ski rack I also just got. Much better with the skis in a box safe from the salt spray.

I put some PPF film under the OEM crossbars so they won’t mark the paint.

Season's pass holders are being given priority at Tremblant and other mountains that have announced rules so WB will do the same. With crowd reductions of 50% we're thinkin' it will be an epic year....for season's pass holders. Tourists will get guarantees as well otherwise why would they book? Day passers are screwed. Big problem will be places that close their lodges. Stiff boots just don't go on that easily in a cool car.

i got a set of used vw mk7 roof bars too, and a ski box from back in the late 90's.... I found last year when it was just the wife and I going, we would just put the gear in the back with the rear seats folded down. in our mk7 golf

I think it’s going to be an epic season as well. I’m gonna put a tiny BBQ in my trunk with a couple camping chairs. Winter time tail gate lunches. Ikon passes arrived in the mail yesterday.

I did the same last year, but my skis are long and now my son has two sets for racing. Plus I've always wanted a box. But I really want a Thule Alpine, much lower profile.

that one you got looks fine for both summer and winter.

I have 2 roof boxes, a long skinny one for skiing in the winter and a more squarish thule for hauling stuff to and from the cottage in the summer. Yours looks like it could serve double duty.

My local ski shop is also my local bike shop... Sold of bikes and starting to sell out of ski stuff. I need new boots and with the restrictions in place this year might just write off the season. It's going to be a cluster **** even in Quebec. Shame because oddly enough I do enjoy going to Blur Mountain and going Damn Pub in Thornbury

Oh well
