Says it was in a fire, and is supercharged. Damage doesn't look too bad. Wonder if it will sell, owner has a reserve.

You have to be careful as I believe the chassis is carbon fiber and aluminum and depending on how hot it got it may be compromised and it really cant ever be fixed properly. Great cars though IMO.

No carbon in structure of this generation of R8. That said, I'm hardly an expert but isn't fire one of the worst issues? Melted wiring, metal fatigue / stress...bad idea. All it's worth is parts and the engine might be damaged...

Fist you need to know if the fire was caused by a randomly failed part or a match.

Says it runs and drives so wiring damage can't be that severe. Would have to check it out. Even with the clear title it will be devalued forever.

What do you figure it would be worth without the branded title? $140K?

These v10s in the audis and lambos catch fire all the time. It is the result of a big hot engine with almost no room for ventilation as the body work is very close. Almost all of these fires start when the car is stuck in traffic. I know 2 guys this happened to, one in a Lambo and the other r8.

I wouldn't say that much. Going rate in the US is 100k USD. It's not branded but I would guess the incident will be on a history report. I would say fixed 110-120k cdn.
