Well, if the quattro goes, I may think about selling the 993. Actually someone just asked me yesterday if I wanted to sell it. The E30 would be easy to sell I think since quantum is not high and this particular car is quite nice.
Would then run the 2002 E39T and maybe a 2008 997 C2S or GT3.

Guys in SG,
Would you considering getting a car from a PI, like AutoConcept? I hear they are offering 4-yr warranties with their new full-equipped workshop.
Anyone know the price differential btw them and SA? Say for a comparable specced 997S?
TIA.
Cheers,
Z

There are enough knowledgeable, independent workshops around these days to help with minor repairs, and a little research can go a long way with rectifying or finding solutions to more major repairs. Besides, at the end of the day, it is still up to the dealership to decide whether they want to properly fix something which has broken, if at all.
Case in point: I had a certain special car "repaired" by the official distributor when I sent it in on more than one occassion for a burning smell. Once the warranty had lapsed (they signaled this by a "goodwill gesture to waive the S$60 charge for reactivating my cruise control*), I sent the car to an indie workshop where they promptly spotted the fact that I had a worn prop shaft seal which was causing oil to seep onto the hot casing causing the burning smell (besides which further damaging my prop shaft).
But I digress**...
Just make sure to do your market research for pricing and pick a good PI shop when you do make your purchase. Also, it goes without saying that the official importers have been trying to minimize their losses of late by coming close to (or, in some cases) matching PI prices, along with the sweetner that their cars are backed by factory warranty, etc.
Can't help you with the pricing for a 997, though I've heard the savings on P-cars are still significant...
Best of luck with your search.

One thing to consider is that when it comes to onselling the car, there will be fewer potential buyers for a PI car. It's getting better these days, but I still know of lots of people who are put off by PI P-cars. But everything also has a price.

It's been a while since the last meet. Inc, you wanna organise?
gpan951, you should attend PCS events too, although there usually aren't many 944s or 968s in attendance.
