Time for a change after 8 911's. I'm not going to be banned here now am I ?

I am still staying in the Porsche Club if they allow it. Not sure on that one actually. Anyone know if that's allowed? I'm not that keen on joining the F car club just yet. I might be a bit rough around the edges for that!

Don't bash me too much guys.
Was the last owner of the 360 from Napier?
Oh, and congrats on the purchase.

Since there's a red theme going on.... just saw this on a Pistonheads thread. I've lusted after this car for years but not seen it in the flesh for ages. Given the price, will just have to keep lusting!!

NZD 170,000 and that appears to be the ex NZ price. My Turbo 3.6 may not have the same kudos, but if I want more power I just jump into my sub NZD 60,000 996TT. I don't think I'll risk driving the Turbo 3.6 the way Porsche intended, ever again. There is no point.

If its the one I am thinking about it lives not far from me. Rarely driven. I'm thinking the owner is merely trying his luck in an offshore market. I doubt that it would be listed in NZ at the same price in converted in NZD. I think it has been for sale in the last 5 years and was around the $100-125k mark from memory.

Its the same one and it is a fishing expedition I believe. Maybe if the exchange rate were the other way around....He wanted 145k nzd locally for it from memory.

I thought this car was sold when it was listed here. Good on him for trying off shore.
I sold my 993 C2S from a listing in a Hong Kong website, to an Australian working in India who was coming to NZ, then back to Auss.
Our market is just way too small for cars like this sadly.

Isn't there a very low miles ex Brunei red Turbo 3.6 in Wellington as well? Agree it's above the odds. Some UK cars went to a collector in HK and at least one Turbo 3.6 sold for GBP 75,000.

At one stage I was seriously contemplating a European trip in the Turbo 3.6 and leaving it there for sale. Now not sure what I would do with the cash, no asset classes look safe.

I detect a hint of cinicism, but if that's not the case I'll go on record as saying my Apple lust is sated and I suspect others are feeling the same. Great product but I no longer lust after the updated models. Maybe old age has set in, but I sense the share price run is all but over. How's the new car?

Hi John
I heard a guru on TV suggesting the shares could reach $1K US. Hard to believe.
Like many people I'm happy with my scummy old model out dated 4!
I don't think it's old age, but it gets to the point, well, where there just is no point.

The new car is certainly very different. It's quite amazing so far. The paddle shift is a first for any first sports car I have owned, but after a few drives, i do get what all the fuss is about. It is a LOT of fun. It handles really well and it feels like you are going twice the speed you really are. The car is as fast as the GT3.
In short I love this car. Early days, but it's looking good. After many Porsches in the garage it makes a nice change I have to say.
I am jusr waiting to see what sort of verbal abuse comes my way when I'm out in it now.
Cheers
