Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?

I’ve decided not to renew my race license. Firstly because it’s no longer needed with the disbandment of the 2k cup team, but also because I read that a substantial part of the license cost is repaying the legal cost and recent settlement in the V8 battle.

HI Doug, how was your trip to Stewart Is? Hope you had lots of blue cod, oysters etc. You go to quiz night?
Was there for a week or so before Easter (work).

I've also been doing small replacements like ignition wires and coils. I'll recondition the power steering pump on the weekend. Lastly I sent four tappets to Franklin Cams for refacing. The cost of that is less than one new tappet. A bargain.

The whole south Island trip was brilliant. Clocked up 5,500km. Spent 3 weeks on the trip, staying Kinloch Lodge, Wanaka, Ophir, TeAnau, Stewart Island, Taeiri Mouth. Flew home to a family funeral and work and just shot down over am extended last weekend to bring the car back from Dunedin. Lots of highlights and we were lucky to dodge the northern storms and were finishing our holiday when the weather packed in again. I posted lots of photos during it on FB.
Stewart island was good. Visited ulva island twice. Found a very nice restaurant up the hill on the west side of the village and dined there twice. Hired electric bikes. Tried to watch the Aurora but it was overcast :-(. Ate blue cod. Didnt like mutton bird. We were to leave on friday morning ferry but on weds he forecast was for a deep low and gale force westerlies so we booked 4 of the last 5 tickeds on thursday mornings ferry and escaped before it cut up rough.
Loved last Saturdays drive from culverden to picton, leaving at 7.30am with almost ni traffic, fresh snow and fine weather.
For SITT 2018 keen to visit and support kaikoura. Hope the road is open and good by then (March).
How are you doing with dessimated paua beds?

Hi Doug, it may be several years before we are allowed to work locally again. Have lost half our income for the forseeable. Capital loss unknown - quota is now an untradeable commodity.
Am considering opening a new business to service the (300 strong) work camp, will be called "Horatio's Happy home of Horny Hookers". I need a partner, am no longer as young & fit as I once was & need help with the interview process! LOL. Perhaps Mark has a few spare Bots in "working" order.
I used to own a water-taxi servicing Ulva Is.
Fav road not fit for travel - just going for a slow local 20 km cruise once a week to get oil up to temp & keep fuel fresh. Only buying 20 litre lots
Cheers - D

This is interesting, not sure if Niki Lauda would approve of the spelling of his name, though.
Wonder if real pedigree, as claimed?

Alfa is almost ready for its new owner today (me!). The new Carrera GTS is such a weapon! They have improved the steering over the new Carrera S and the exhaust/engine sound. The biggest set of handling/performance changes yet seen on a GTS model. Someone will be very lucky...

So we are looking for some new tyres for our Ferrari 575 as the existing ones are 10 years old and the prices in NZ seem to be exceptionally high if you can find them. UK prices are much lower but it doesn't seem too easy to get them here. What is the best source of tyres you gents are using, NZ or overseas for quick an easy. It doesn't need to be the cheapest, but simply being able to source them right now is the goal!
