Winter storage in trailer?
Haven't searched the topic so may have been answered before. It may also be a stupid question. Do any of you up north store your race cars inside your (enclosed) trailers outside during winter or is that frowned upon?

I store my 944 in my enclosed trailer the last couple of years. I make sure it has enough antifreeze.
Last winter it went down to -10F in CT so I put a heater in the trailer for those few days but that was probably overkill. I used an antifeeze tester and it was good to -30F.
Not a problem.

Winter Storage in Texas is called CoTA....

Perhaps too cruel, but what is this "winter storage" they speak of?
TWS this weekend is supposed to be sunny and 85 degrees. Last weekend it was nearly 100 on Saturday and a much nicer 92 on Sunday. I think Mother Nature moved the Texas season control from "Summer" to "Fall" last Sunday morning.
After a string of 100+F weekends since June, this will be nice.

I do it every winter. If air-cooled, no prep necessary. If water-cooled, just make sure your antifreeze is OK. Put the battery on a trickle charger, either in the trailer or in your garage, and done. At first, when I was compulsive, I went out and moved the car a few inches every couple of weeks to avoid flat spots. I don't bother anymore.

Put new tires on it before first outing in the spring and you'll be all set.
CTek or some decent auto battery charger is important, too. Don't want the battery to freeze with low or no charge in it.
