If money was no object . . .
Was thinking about my beloved Cayman R today, and I started musing "what if I had enough money that I could buy the Porsche of my choice, would I choose differently?"
I think I'm being honest with myself when I say, I would stick with my R. First off I love the kermit the frog green and more importantly this is the first car I ever felt like I "put on" when I sit in the driver's seat. I feel like I have absolute control of this car at all times, and equally important in my case I feel like I haven't come close to exploiting the full potential of this car so what's the point of getting something faster or more powerful if I can't even max out what I have. Also, I was lucky enough to recently drive a GT4 and an older GT3 and honestly (and I admit one needs more than a couple minutes to get to know a car) I didn't feel anything like the "seat of the pants" connection I have to my R.
Anyways, just wondering . . . if you had all the money in the world would you buy the latest and greatest or would you be happy with what you have?

Race Car
If money WERE no object......
My current daily driver is a Toyota Corolla so I would certainly buy something else. I have a seriously fast race car so I get my speed fix on the track. Maybe an Audi S8 Plus as a daily driver and a Porsche GT3 RS for when I wanted to drive something a little lighter.

Assuming you meant streetable car (race cars open a wonderful world of impossible choices), I'd go with a frankenstein since I won't buy the modern cars out of principle.
I'd like a '72 narrow body with a 997.2 RS 3.8 drivetrain, 997 cup suspension (figure that one out) with moderate springs and dampers and a Singer interior with Audi technology/driver comforts. Is that too much to ask?
oh, and Fuchs up front, minilites in the back

what could be better than a 964 with updated/upgraded brakes and suspension
some boutique 3.8 or 4.0
paint doesn't have to be perfect, nor does the interior
a daily driver that gets treated like a Honda Accord

That would be one, but then there's the 910, the 934 and 935... And of course the 956 and 962... Sheesh, just one????
