Default 1989 944S2

Need to wire in pickup on my 1989 944S2 SP3 car before Sebring can anyone tell me which wire and where located to splice into to get tach signal it is my understanding the 89 is different from 90-91 S2s, anyone?

I would say get it directly from the coil. They use an AIM Evo4 for the data, so you could also see what AIM site says about RPM signal.

I think pin 6 on the ECU for late 944/early 944S2, too. Not tested...

Purple wire behind the dash would be my guess.
