Can I piggyback a wire from this feed to the RPM feed that Brent/PCA wants?

Am I better off getting it from OBD1 port?

Car is a 95 968.

Thanks.
I think you will need a tach adapter if you are pulling directly from the coil. At least that's what I needed for my IQ3. We will be using your OBD1 port but if you have good AIM data, you can do what Gary was asking and we'll just get a copy of your data. Unless Brake boosting is involved then all bets are off.

Yes, you will want to use the direct wire and the 996 CAN protocol. Not much info but good RPM, Throttle Position and Brake On/Off, as well as Water Temp from that connection, IIRC.
Thank you, have to read up on the EVO 4 now...

Boosting? You need Hunt's car for that.. or Mueller's.

Hunt has moved on to nitrous push to pass. Easier to hide the bottle.

Hah! I love Tim Andersen, he's great, the ONLY reason I have hope for RacePak owners.

No, no reason for a tach adapter for the EVO4. There are two inputs, one 4-50V for a dedicated square wave on-off signal, like that from an ECU or an MSD tach output and the other, 150-400V, which is for the low side of the coil. There are some other, fancier options if the signal is too noisy, but this works 98% of the time.

Easy-peasy.

Here you are, Gary!

I know a lot, but not sure how it automatically auto-populated the vehicle name?

What if this thing accidentally falls out of the car during a race or something. I mean anything can happen out there. Anything.

And it somehow bounces in weird way and makes it out the passenger window! Could be a safety issue!

What if, upon disconnection (or disappearance) of the device, somehow your entry, lap times and points for the weekend vanished... Cause and effect?

With your luck, it might come through your radiator.
