"E" and "D" class?

D, E, same zip code; Cris Taylor drove a D SC to fourth overall at LRP last weekend with a 1:00.9 fast lap, ahead of all but two E cars and Dan Yonker in the P1 SPB. My best lap in a D SC of 1:02.9 was solidly mid pack in the green run group comprised of Es and SPB. So no worries you will have cars to race with if you show up with a D car...

First time I've ever seen a used set listed for sale. I paid $2500 for mine. I think they may be $2800 now:

Man I want those. Would save for the next car since I don't have something to put them on currently.

I got my first set of R7s mounted up yesterday and took a few pics.
The first pic is a 225 R7 and 225 R6 both on 8" wheels (identical width).
The second pic is a 245 R7 and 275 R6 both on 9" wheels (very small difference).

So you've decided to go with the 245 R7 out back instead of the 275?

When we were out testing last time, I ran into a weird issue with the sway bars. They're stock and the adjustment holes are close together.
I'm new to E class 911's so bear with me...
On the "loose" hole, the car pushes a bit more than I like but the back was predicable. On the tight hole, the back was so loose it was almost impossible to drive. I got a lot of style points tokyo drifting around sebring due to the snap oversteer but it was slow.
Are there better bar options out there? Google search said SRP bars were popular with E cars at one point, but looks like they aren't in business anymore.

Most people run rear sways very soft on 911s with torsion bars. If the car is pushing with a soft rear bar, your problem is more likely in the front (front is too stiff).
Tarett sway bars are nice:

Yes, for now.
Stock sway bars are not adjustable so you must have something else.

We put it back to the soft hole and it was much more predictable but would bog going through 7 and 10. We haven't touched the front settings. Guess we'll fiddle with that next time.

You can look it up.

You have a few choices for sway bars. Tarret, and Smart Racing (acquired by Jerry Woods Enterprises) so the name may have changed. I had Charlie Bars on mine. They made a huge difference and were very nicely made. Came from Wrightwood Racing, but I am not sure if Charlie makes them anymore. Go big on the rear and set it on the soft side. Car will do what you want it to do.

So you tried to tighten the rear because the front was pushing? I'm no expert but that seems ***-backwards.
Ran Smart rear suspension on mine & liked. Enough adjustment to run loose for Sebring and tighter for everywhere else.
If you're pushing (out of 5?) loosen the front. Get the balance as close as you can with a static target tire pressure and suspension adjustments. Then go back and tweak tire pressures (R7's have great turn in so you can go slightly lighter than R6's). Got to the point where I could feel a 1lb difference in front tire pressure in my D car.
