as soon as the races on Friday were ending, I came back to the track to get the approval to move "Uptown"........ anyway, got moved next to Darrel Anderson T1 mustang and his pit area for Saturday, so we were really close to turn 11, and the grid area........ sorry we couldn't meet up over there. I was still chasing some gremlins right up until grid time. ive never had so many things go wrong ..... and then the final dagger was the broken fuel pump ground wire... dumb dumb dumb on my part. should have removed that entire circuit, not just the hot wire.

we hung out and watched a few friends in the T2 race. wow, what carnage!
Then, got the car running so I could load It on the trailer.... replaced all the wiring in that area yesterday, and now the car is READY for the runoffs....ahhh, next year!! (even fixed the transmission problem of the 3rd gear lock up). too much too late!

Even with all that negative stuff going on, it was still a fun week. Just pissed I couldn't end up with the top 10 finish I would have ended up with if I didn't lose the fuel pump.

There was a lot of Turn 2 carnage in a lot of races, T2 may have been one of the worst.

We were cheering for David Ray in T2, he started 12th but got caught behind the turn 2 carnage and ended up last behind the safety car. He quickly passed cars up to 9th, but only managed one more pass after that. It made for an exciting and interesting race.

Thanks for the picture! Cool! Yeah, had a lot of great weekends with david over the years. Some instructing gigs too. He spent a lot of time battling with a friend of mine in his older 928. that was a great race. watched almost all of it at the corkscrew... that vet was crashing down the inside birm of the "screw" very entertaining!
Great to see all the guys at the nationals going at it.... too bad that Addison had to take out the leader. Not good. Oooops! I was really impressed with John Ilse in T1, who Ive been racing against this season. the 4 cars he was running with are the same we see every race weekend. too bad my car is not young enough to run with them.... but, had to run the runoffs, as who knows when an event like that will ever come back to Laguna.... so, it was GT2 -St for me (old STO).
