Victor Equipment Wheel Warning
Do not use Victor Equipment Innsbruck Wheels for track use as the company does not cover the warranty if used for the track and my rear wheel cracked. I purchased the 2002 996 C2 car last year which came with the track wheels.
Any suggestions for better track wheels?

If you want the best bang for the buck buy a set of take off OEM factory Porsche wheels from the likes of Wheel Enhancement. THey are forged wheels.
Watch out for non-forged knockoffs on ebay etc.

Could be wrong here, but other than Fuchs, I don't think Porsche wheels are forged. Good quality cast though.
Forged is definitely stronger, which usually means they can be made thinner and lighter. If you are looking to avoid cracks, this can be self defeating.
But to your point, selecting a wheel from a reputable company is a start. Victor-Blingey-wheels, not so much.
Best,
Matt

Check out Forgeline, Finspeed or CCW's for forged wheels.
The stock Porsche wheels bend quite easily.
OZ's are nice looking and less expensive option too.

I've seen Victor Wheels crack...new wheels too and Sebring track events. These are total junk wheels.

Don't kid yourself about forged wheels.. They crack too:
The bottom three spokes are cracked on my old CCW track wheels. Any type of track wheel requires regular inspection for cracks in my opinion.
