Default Tie Down Strap Recommendations

Need new tie down straps for my open trailer. Does anyone have recommendations? I'm not currently using rennline hooks.

That popped up in my search. Which version do you have? Wheel straps too or no?

I've got these:

At least for my trailer setup, the "direct hook rachet" is a key thing to have.

That direct hook thing is a great idea! I've used the Ericsson type that have the axle strap / D-ring and pad built into the strap, and I find them about right on a Trailex for going through all four wheels, but threading them through can be a little awkward with big brakes and small wheels.

ApexPerformance has a nice package and a great price:

Ratchets can be upgraded to direct hook using these:

Clarke and Linda provide great products and service.

How long is your trailer? If it is too short it will limit your options.

I got the macs tiedowns. I wish I had gotten the flat hook option. The twisted ones gouge the trailer a little when tightened. Also, wish I had known about the set from Apex. Looks like a lot better price.

Exactly the same trailer I have. You want the direct hook ratchets without question.

So the straps can be short enough. Without the direct hook, there is barely (if even that) enough room to tighten the straps to hold the car.
