Here is my view of the opening half lap of the orange group sprint 2. I think we had like 4 or 5 green flag laps

Nice!!!... so what exactly does it take to call off the start in a PCA club race? Cars way out of formation and gaps as big as 50 yards between cars (look to the right of the camera car)? Nope. Pace car going way too fast? Nope. Huge fire and plume of smoke coming out of a car? Nope. (I'll give the starter the benefit of the doubt in this case, as perhaps the flag dropped before the fire)... but as a general comment, that I've said previously, in the past 5 years I have yet to see a PCA starter waive off a start at any race. As a result, everyone thinks it's a free-for-all (especially mid pack and back).

It was a split start and the first group was green already.

Yep split start. I was probably half a lap ahead by then . When i came around 17 they did not have the debri flag out which for a very interesting of T17 with all that oil from the 944.

Doesn't mean you can't waive off the second start; also doesn't mean the that the drivers in second group have license to do whatever they want.

Waive off second start, and then immediate double yellow at all flag stations.
