screw COTA . i was there last year. talked to us like children leading up to it. cluster bomb of confusion reviewing registrations down to the second to see who was in, who wasnt. weeks later still un known. and then we get there and it was not the best event of the season, by far. great track. neat facility, nice weather.
let them have their F1, Tudo, v8, WEC , whatever else they desire.
limerock is as great if not greater track, and is quaint.
disney land has lost is shine. 800/car/day!?? uh, thats crazy.

CMP date on Halloween is just because of how the calendar falls. Can't move it earlier - then too close to Daytona. Can't move it later - then too close to the region's VIR Drivers Ed. Kinda stuck I would presume...
Mid Ohio just can't get a break with dates it seems....May was bad because of LRP and Glen, then 4th weekend...now conflict with RA, Summit and Daytona?

People...patience. PCA doesn't put the dates on the schedule until all the proper paperwork is done from the region to Club Racing especially if a date change or region race chair change is imminent. And being the holidays and such, it may take a while to sort things out...this IS a volunteer organization afterall...

I'll just fan the fire by speculating...
Typically NJMP Thunderbolt is the weekend before Labor Day weekend; and Summit Point is the last weekend in September.
Rumor has it there may be another PCA race in the northeast in 2014???

First, am I the only person that sees "calendar" in the subject of an automotive forum, and expects pictures? Cars, girls, something? WOuldn't "schedule" be more appropriate? Maybe VR's posting of the 50th anniversary of the Pirelli calendar has left a permanent impression on me.
Second, any idea when COTA "rumors" will be a bit better quantified? Assuming I actually manage to get through a weekend with a functional car this March, I'd been thinking about going to Austin in part to visit a cousin, and also hitting a customer's shop in Houston. For that kind of coin, I'll pass.
