Word is that COTA has significantly jacked up its rates for 2014. A source in the BMW Club, and another in SCCA, claims their new rate starts at $800/car/day. Which would be insane if true.

Not sure the veracity of this, nor whether it is part of any PCA negotiations...

$800.00/car at COTA is not doable for most clubs. Fees would have to be 1k+/car to cover basic costs. PCA has to pay all the national staff for transportation, lodging, etc. When the newness wears off, the numbers drop and the clubs pull out.

LRP and COTA the same weekend? I guess they don't expect too many N Easterners to make the long trek.

Great date for RRR. Hope turnout is good.

CMP on Halloween? Too bad. That has been my last race of the year for the past 2 yrs, but won't go on Halloween. I have a young child and they say we only get around 10 dress up years. Not missing one.

The rumor is it is $800 per car PER DAY. Which is far far worse.

Again, I am not aware of what the number actually is, only what the rumors from SCCA and BMWCCA say.

Not sure what the minimum number of cars is, either. Heck, I'll pay $800 for a day to have the track to myself!

VIR could replace COTA if fees are stupid high, but then another problem would arise with VIR and LR on the same weekend

I was thinking about going to the PCA COTA race next year, but think I'll just go to The Mitty instead..

Again, I do NOT know whether the new fees are even at play for PCA.

I'm planning on doing Road Atlanta. If they'd put VIR at the same date as Cota, I'll leave my trailer there coming back from RA.

That would be awesome!!!

Only 2 for the west coast (Golden Gate) compared with 4 GGR and 1 SD this year. Wonder what happened. I'll ask the racers this weekend at Laguna Seca.

That's good. I think that it makes the DE weekends much more fun with the PCA racers there.
