It's waiting for my arrival at Sebring. It was buttoned up and completed late Monday and put right on the transporter Monday morning. So I never got to see it completely finished before it left

Can't wait to shake it down for test n tune on thurs

Just talked with SST, who is completing the project. They decided to put in the cool suit infrastructure, which I was tempted to add but held off, not wanting to make any build changes unless necessary. But I am glad they did.
We are also adding a base and 1 tear off windshield.
And get this - we are on budget!

In for a dime, in for a dollar I always say.
Think of it this way - the car is effectively new (8,500 street miles). For 0.41% of its cost, I get a fresh start at a good as new windshield when I need it.
Now, why wouldn't I do that?

+750.00

Unlike a street car with glass coverage when the windshields get so pitted and cracked you don't just pay a $50 deductible and move on it's the full price and even used they ain't cheap...

Is the windshield tear off like the 3m paint film but thicker? This is new to me.

I should have done a clearplex or tear off on my my HPDE cars. The windshields get so pitted and scratched and a replacement windshield is never as good as the factory installed.
