Time for an update on our build; although SST has been busy on the car and making great progress, I haven't had time to report in.
As of a couple of weeks ago much of the interior and wiring was in, so I got a chance to sit in the car and test fit the drivers-side seat. We have the Aim dash installed (see pic). Under car work is in process (I think; Spencer needs time to get his racing clients ready for Sebring so I offered to step aside so they could have priority) (besides my garage is inaccessible thanks to the early snow so its not like I am in a rush).
When the cage was painted spent a few extra $$$ to touch up the interior where Porsche didn't finish (previously hidden areas).
Note the cool SST floor board to clean up the heel/toe area.
Note also the goofy-looking driver test fitting the seat.
Working on graphics but haven't found anything yet that says 'yup - that's the one' but we will. Had planned a tribute graphic but nothing really worked on Meteor Gray except the Martini graphics. Much as I'd like to drive like Frank, I think its better that I not clone his graphics.
More as we progress!

Rick even the hair matches the body color, you watch every detail!

Awesome cage Rick. Car looks great. Are you going to keep the OEM gas pedal? Is that an OEM Cayman slider for your seat?

I never used to have gray hair; wonder where that came from??
So when folks ask why I bought a gray car, I tell them 'because it matched my car'?

Thanks! They're doing great work.
Not sure where I am on the pedal; is there a preference (stock vs. aftermarket)?

Rennline has a fully adjustable pedal that replaces the plastic which I am told is prone to breaking.

Looking amazing, really slick.

You still look kinda funny, but hey, it ain't a fashion show.

Cheers!

Yup, I would get the Rennline pedal. Added benefit of complete adjustability re. heel/toe setup.

http://www.rennline.com/Rennline-Rev...uctinfo/A14.3/

Also, is there any reason they didn't extend the custom floorboard to the base of the accl pedal? The cutout seems odd, will drop your heel more compared to the hinge of the pedal.

Nice build! I'm just being picky

Thanks!
No harm being picky. I like perfection.
Not sure of the reason but knowing Spencer, its a good one. I was wondering the same thing.
