That would be great; hope you can make it. I'll need all the advice I can get.
Fast IS pretty.
I haven't been to VIR in 6 or so years.
New car, 1st event of the season, haven't driven track since before the Great Recession - what could go wrong?

Indeed they were kind. Watching the process you went through made me want a Cayman S w/PDK after I sold my Spec 996. I was planning to be "Porsche-less" for a few years but I was compelled to rethink that.

Did you go full ITC Build?

PDK is certainly the hot build right now. I enjoy the art of the manual shift so stuck with that. Of course then I went and hit my knee with a tennis racquet. Still sore after 2 weeks but no lingering damage. Still, if I can't press in the clutch pedal, I'll be some kind of pissed.
Oh, I won the tennis match.
Car is ITC inspired but not identical. Real close. I'd have to think through what we didn't do, but it wasn't much. Spencer can tell you (also, he's also real smart about PDK).
You do not want to be 'Porsche-less;' it is just not right.

I will be there too in my Cayman. Haven't been there in about two years.

Hi Matt
That is a pretty Cayman you have there. I looked at pictures of it when we were trying to find the right livery.
Looking forward to seeing it in person.

Thanks! I forgot to mention that I took delivery of my Cayman at VIR. It rained for most of the two days we were there and it was cold! It was my first time with the car and my first (and only) time at VIR. I was stressed but my coach John Lewis was a huge help!!

Can't wait to get back there for the DMTD and then I will back there again for the PCA race.

Matt
That I won't need! Its a very long haul down and back.
On the other hand, learning in the rain is a good opportunity.
But I don't have windows

2:09.46 at Watkins Glen with a passenger and almost empty fuel tank at its first real event. New Cayman pal Jonathan was doing 2:07s so I have a ways to go.
The car has a bit of understeer (noted by Spencer and by Peter Argetsinger) but for now I'll leave it in.
Car is wonderful; just what I was hoping for.

You betcha. Blues Festival and Tremblant in July - doesn't get much better than that.
Sorry you couldn't join us at Cups.
I need to find an event during mid-June.

Got to sell the 993 first! I haven't put too much effort into that (busy with work).

With you in the right seat I'd be there already.
Not used to having so much brakes.
(I.e., braking way too soon)
The aero is fantastic.
