Started a prep shop in 1984 so I had the infrastructure to go do track days (they really didn't have too many DE's back then), started working for Track Time and Car Guys Inc in 1987 when I was 27, then went historic and SCCA racing (one of the "young guys" back then).

Just turned 54 and no, it NEVER gets old...

Is it possible for us over 50's to get a discount for a group buy to sue someone about stealing all those years???

I'm in the under-35 age group, but I agree how this sport brings together folks from all ages, professions, backgrounds, etc. in a way few other activities do. I started doing DE events 3 years ago, and I hope to still be doing DE (and maybe racing) when I get to "70 and over" bucket

Started racing Lotus Cup in 07 and now have been racing W2W for about 3/4 years now....41 yr old...a few of our competitors are in the 60's and they are FAST!
I guess it's like wine....better with time.

60 and wondering what happened to 30. As we all do........

But I have another 30+ years of hustle in me for sure.

Wish I had started 40 years sooner. A dream since college. But whatever: I'm here now. So how lucky am I? VERY

27 and been doing DE's with my father for a few years now (currently sleepless in Sebring as I type this). He has the P-car, I kart to get my wheel-to-wheel fix in, but know in the future there will be a Porsche in my garage.

51, I went to the Jim Russell FF School at Silverstone when I was 18, thought I was going to be the next James Hunt! College, Woman & Partying got in the way! Started DE's at Mid-Ohio when I was 37 (1999) & of course I was hooked, racing took over 5 years later. I just purchased a 2004 996 Cup and now I'm living the dream!

Yup, which allows for the early retirement part however, the wife will only let me sit at home and race for so long

I'm 40.

I've been racing for 5 years. DE for 2 before that.
