Will turn 50 in Feb. - still a few months before I move into another "category". Wish I started sooner.

51 now, 1st SCCA license right on 30 years ago in a borrowed Showroom Stock RX7 then my own ITB Scirocco. No Porsche marque racing back then, but I'd use the 911 for local (Arizona + So Cal) DE/Time Trials.

Fits and spurts over the years. Most of you it was family. Me, starting businesses or financing my education would have me parking the cars for extended periods of time.

Wish I'd done a lot more, mainly in open wheel. But no regrets. Definitely feel I suck at my age now, and am getting back into golf.

I'm older than you! If you want to feel old, you will! You should come race in the PRC. Build a GTL car and come race with/against me.....

It's relative to where I feel I was in my "prime".......such as it ever was.

Anyway, unless someone is going to fund a build and operation, it's tough to be out there on track when there's little money anymore. (Though I might have the vending business sold, and it's time to close the call center. But no way are those proceeds going into track events to the tune of more than $2-3K/yr.)

Just turned 73. Been doing this for about 10 years with 996 GT3 and now 997 GT2 as a retirement hobby. Absolutely love track days.

First PCA DE after turning 59 just about 1 year ago. Did 35 track days by my 60th. Nothing better than a day at the track.
