Started at 29, but am now 44. I see it as only a number and really like this age.

Allan it's been fun seeing you get back in the swing of things

42, started DE 10 years ago in the Rustang below.

I'll be driving it at again Sebring next month plus probably my first race car that I've been trying to buy the last few month.

Did a few lemons races and just got my rookie race license in an 86 E class 911 and it was a lot of fun, but not eventful enough for DE?

Maybe 964 maybe 996 CUP or maybe smithing like Izzone's Relic or all all the above LOL .

Trying to rent one of each at Sebring dec/jan before I buy, but have a few offers on the table, so maybe sellers will decide before I can.

You're only as old as the woman you feel….!

Pity my wife is the same age as me, but, I do feel positively youthful after reading this thread, at only 48.

55. Started DEs and track days less than 2 years ago. Do most with my 23 year-old son. We did our first race together in ChumpCar last week at AMP.

Next time please add a category like "over 50 chronologically, under 10 maturity level." I could go for that.

Still able to podiate in F; been racing PCA/NASA since before the 50-50 at WGI. Raced Skippy cars for a few years before that. Did some SCCA and a lot of autocrossing in a B Prod corvette way, way back at the start. First ever on-track experience was after the US GP at Watkins Glen in 1964; in a Pontiac station wagon, almost made a lap, hooked for life. Can't top the experiences or all the people I've raced with, sworn at, shared stuff with, tripped over and hung with. Nice thread

61 in a couple of weeks. Started at 55, only DE's (definitely missed the boat for racing, but still have fantasies) and AX (well, it IS competition!).

I'm 63 and just retired from DE's. 209 track days in 11 1/2 years. Old neck injury has worsened, facing surgery. Tracked a 01 996 C4 2001-2008, 79 dedicated 911 early 2009 to June 2013. Had a blast. Drove a Class A RV and enclosed trailer to the track for 6 years, made it very comfortable and had everything I needed on board. Still planing on putting on DE events and helping out at club events.

I'm waiting for calls to wire some money.
One may happen today, the 964RSA, the CUP could happen any day as well, or never.
Will you be at Chin 14+15 Dec?

Why not a RSA that runs with the Cups? Best of both worlds!
