That van said FREE CANDY on the side. Don't you know Halloween is past?

There were a few race cars sitting around, including the black Copenhagen car, which was the last Indy car AJ drove. We even got a tour of AJ's office, which was jam packed with trophies.
Amazing that Sato's car is that intact...

Perhaps that is the "display only spare"?

Mike Globe,

Is that the place off 290 a couple miles north of the Muschke Rd exit where the small Buc-cee's is? I've noticed it sitting off to the west going by at many a morning behind a Joes Trading Post or some such thing.

Is that close to where the weird photos of you stalking Lally were taken?

A trace from some recent good laps vs. Andy.

Me - Orange - October - BFGR1 (new)
Me - Green - Saturday - Shot Hoosiers (12+HC)
Andy - Blue - Sunday 3rd lap - BFGR1 (close to new)

Lots of work to do....and Andy was clearly taking it easy going into 1 (maybe I shouldn't have mentioned I was driving the car home that night).
I was surprised by my green trace on Saturday with crappy hoosiers...I guess the testosterone in the NARRA paddock rubbed off.

Here's another indicator of Andy's super powers. I drove a customer's 430 challenge and after 5 laps I was giggling with the fastest I have ever gone around TWS (and my god that was amazing car..). Andy hits a 43 in his 3rd lap out...and said there was still a few seconds in there.

Question

(VR let me know if you want me to take this elsewhere, but I figured since this was a driving clinic, the discussion is appropriate)

Doug,

Believe it or not, the most interesting data for me that was collected with your AIM Solo isn't a comparison between Lally and myself, it is me vs me during my solo session with the AIM Solo recording data. (I do want to see Lally's data from my car as well).

I seem to have this internal boost switch that flips me from 2:09ish mode to 2:05ish mode and I really don't know what it is and therefore lack the ability to enable it on demand.

Check out these lap times. All the following are seconds past 2 minutes:

Sun 1: 12, 8, 9, 8, 9, 7, 6
Sun 2: 5, 6, 5, 7, 6, 8, 10
Sun 3: 7, 11*, 13*, 7, 6, 6
Sun 4: 5, 6, 4, 8, 8, 7 <- 2:04 Personal Best AIM Data Collected Here
Sun 5: 10, 9, 8, 9, 8, 9, 8, 7
Sun 6: 8, 9, 8, 10, 8 ,8
*I actually intentionally slowed down here to discuss things to work on with my in car instructor.

Sun 1 is understandable given I had just gotten the car back together and was being careful.

Something in me clicked off during the Sun 4 session. I know the predictive lap timing distracted me. Hint, if you linger on the predictive lap time you can watch it grow I'm really curious to compare laps 1-3 with 4-6 and what may have turned off.

Anyway, here is my personal best:

Perhaps I was just getting tired. During Sun Run 7 I had an off in T3. Not quite sure what happened. I think I overcooked it and didn't want to hit the curbing at the exit and decided instead to take the short course. Little bit of the sailor's dictionary escaped here:

Jacy,

I would have let you borrow my trailer if that is what it took to get a little more out of the lap

TWS CCW 11-09-13 2011 GT3 RS

Steve Ott - Red 1:49:39
Andy Lally - Blue 1:50:20
Me - Green 1:51.68 (warming up new tires for Andy & Steve)

Yes, it is obvious I am a donkey compared to these guys

Looks like a lot of us (myself included) need to work on the braking zone into T3!

Here's how part of our 3min debrief went...

Andy - "So hows the car feel to you?"
Me - " Well, well this is my first 911, so lots of stuff feels odd, but I'd say the biggest problem I think I have is corner entry stability."
Andy - "Yup. I feel the same thing. I think you should tighten the front bar, which will help transfer weight faster to the rear loaded corner at turn in....should help. More rear wing and maybe a bit lower in the rear...and, also, your car feels softer than the other RSs i drove.."
Me - " Damn, forgot to hit the PASM button"

I did until the hohos gave up on sat. I need to take pics. Those wheels will be buried with me. I love them.

After seeing Tim's setup with 3 laps side by side, and being able to step through video second by second in sync with velocity, throttle, and brake....priceless, I really went the wrong way with the AIM setup. Their hardware is nice, but the software is lacking. Reminds me of my old G2X.
