Not at all. The white car was trying to overtake me.
The overtaking car has 100% responsibility to make the pass completely. The car being overtaken has to give 3/4 car length if the other car has established the right to be there by having his wheels at the door of the lead car.
He did not have the right to be there.

Was he 3/4 up on you at the left turn where you gave room at apex?

Are you asking if his front wheel was at my wheel for turn 3?

looks like he got a good run on you through 3 and got a little red mist, not accounting for you moving back to the left to set up for that bend in the straight before 5 and basically pit maneuvered you.

Other than the ending, that looked like a lot of fun.

Good thing nobody got hurt and best wishes on fixing the car.

That is a tough situation. The run from 3 to 4 has a car on the left that managed some speed through T3. It appears you moved over to gain some room into T4 rather than go two wide into the turn he did not back out at all. Once your two wide in T4 he owns you in T5 (gains the inside line). I have had that very situation happen to me and either backed out made a move to the inside of the lead car to share T4 from the inside. Glad your okay.

Sounds like he acknowledged ignorance of the passing rules?

NASA gives a bit more leeway than PCA but this was a punt as defined in their rules. Hope you and your car aren't too bad off.

Don't know anything about NASA but I wouldn't hold the passing car solely at fault in that one. If anything, 609's sit aware was lacking or possibly trying to use the rules to pressure the passing car to back off.

The second video answered my question.

That's a crappy situation for all involved. Glad you are okay, I hate those damn berms at Summit. Seen so many rolls, and nasty things happen because of them.

You gave him room at the first turn and then went across the track taking away his 'lane' to setup for the next turn. That was a bit inconsistent on your part, regardless of what rules say.
