Was that Ernie or Lloyd driving the 001? They were both in SP3 cars with the same colors/decals..., although one is a Turbo and the other one is an S2.

Yes I noticed that as well. Major problem at the Glen IMO.

Scott, you've not driven the Glen, right? In a heavily cambered downhill like T5, a right side mirror is indispensible IMO, because the rear view mirror mounted in the windshield area is aimed the wrong way.

I like 2 mirrors on the right. normal passenger side mirror plus an "autobahn" mirror inside the windshield pointed right to cover blind spot.

Question is how does that autobahn mirror work when it's always on your floor??

if you race with out side mirrors, and you chop down on someone foolishly as this guy did, even if the overtaking car didnt own the corner, you should get the 13.
im mean, how lunatic is pca, that they give a 13 to a guy who overtakes no matter how much he should not be at fault, but a driver omits side mirrors to save weight or be more aero on a track with a ton of right turns, and he doesnt get a 13 when he chops down on a guy who should have been spotted. the guys in your rear view, catches you 2,3,4 times, and you make a wide turn coming out of the bus stop, and you chop back down, ..with no mirror?
i mean you gotta know, you gotta hear the guy to your inside. the sound in the car is DIFFERENT when someone is right on your inside. you know you went wide.
and you have no mirror!!?
just makes no sense to me, sorry. no sense. then again, maybe neither got a 13 as it was a rub incident like the tube chassis 911 at lime rock. just a rubbin'

is that a tech violation? anyone in that group know?
to me, if someone has a tech violation pre-existing to the wreck which is directly related to the accident, that should be a 13 for the violator

Only requirement in SP2 is a fire extinguisher, all else is free.

That was from the head-honchos this past weekend.
This is NOT what I was told during my rookie orientation.

???

I don't really care what the rule is, as long as everybody is on board.

No, but I have driven at a track with lots of right hand turns and elevation changes: Sears Point. You need to see out your right side very well there.

My car has an AllVIEW rear view mirror. Through it, I can see straight behind me all the way to a car to the right that is next to me and at the B-pillar. In other words, it is aimed at the back right corner of the car. I don't use it to look out the left side of the car. That is what the driver door mirror is for.

If you look at the angles, and compare it to a passenger door mirror that is setup to see cars on the right, the rear view mirror sees more off to the side than a passenger door mirror does. The only benefit I would get form the passenger door mirror is not having the C-pillar block my view.

I don't know what mirror configuration the white car has, but I think you all are jumping gun on that one. If the car had a mirror setup like mine, he would have a better chance seeing the car on the inside with a rear view mirror like mine than a mirror on the passenger door which would have less field of view with a more acute angle.

I think it must also have something flammable and some lubricating liquids barely contained...

Ok, so That was Ernie a front of me,
We did not get 13/13
He said that he did not see me coming and that "nobody pass in turn 5"
This was my second PCA club race (rookie) and I need to get some more to avoid this.
