I'm on fumes at the end of a 30 minute sprint if I start with 5 gallons in my 996. Sometimes I'm begging to see the flag at finish!

Our 924S Chump car runs about 12.5-14 gallons every 1.75hrs running E85.

Depends on the drivers and cautions.

so it appears the 996-997 cups are VERY thirsty.....26 gallons-ish per hour.....85+ mph average 3.26mpg sounds about right.....

My 996 GT3 gets between 4-6 mpg, depends on the track and weather. At Road America I need at least 5 gal to make it through a dry 30 minute session.

My 930 gets somewhere around 3+mpg. Gets expensive when feeding it 112 octane leaded racing fuel.

My 996 R with 3.6 RSR motor gets way better than this....

I'm seeing nearly double that.

...hmmm...

My 924 ITB car and DSR both seem to get 'round 7mpg. Gotta love them 4-cylinders...

(of course the DSR still has a stock bike motor. And the 924 tends to get better mileage when my wife drives...)

Does anyone else use the formula I use lbs/per minute? I use 6lbs per gallon for calculation so 90 minute enduro requires 15 gallons.

Funny how that works out. Was shocked when I first got the Radical that the mileage wasn't any better than the "real" automotive engines.

Anyway, I figure it's about a buck-a-mile when I'm doing anything other than pony trotting.

The 1999 Spec Miata with its unrestricted 1.8L engine I helped crew at the 25 hour burns around 8 gallons per hour....

The 997 GT3 cups came in every hour for fuel and every other hour for tires + fuel...but knowing they have a 100 liter (26.4 gallons) cell that seems like really high fuel consumption?

A friend had a 993 twin turbo street car that was lightly modified...he said it got 1.5 mpg on track.....due to very rich AFR the turbo liked.....which is around 40 gallons per hour....OUCH....

its power vs time dependent. generally, at most common tracks, 4.5mpg for 350rwhp. you can almost take the % less or more with hp to get your MPG. not a rule, but gives you a ball park.

1.5mpg is not really possible, unless you have a leak. think about it. you run one of our 45 mile races and it takes 30 plus gallons to finish? not really possible

Ive been doing this a long time. its rare if i dont have the fuel warning light come on on the last lap, or as im entering the pits. Now, with 373rwhp, i run laguna, sears or thunderhill with 11 gallons to start. of the warning light. when i was at 320hp, it was more like 7 gallons. Im richer now mixture wise, but you see the trend.
I think anderson with his 500+ rwhp, ran close to 15 gallons to finish a 30min race.

I calibrated my fuel level on AIM dash to pounds of fuel (weighed fuel put in from empty tank to full and created custom table) . Works very well with nasa to coorilate fuel weight to final weight. ...I burn 1.1lbs/min at MidO (need a few more decimals?) :-)
