Racing fuel consumption?
I know its track dependant, but what type of fuel economy does your race car get...I measure mine in gallons burned per hour. My current racer is around 10 gallons per hour....some of my older ones with less power were lower at around 7.5 gallons per hour.
The 1999 Spec Miata with its unrestricted 1.8L engine I helped crew at the 25 hour burns around 8 gallons per hour....
The 997 GT3 cups came in every hour for fuel and every other hour for tires + fuel...but knowing they have a 100 liter (26.4 gallons) cell that seems like really high fuel consumption?
A friend had a 993 twin turbo street car that was lightly modified...he said it got 1.5 mpg on track.....due to very rich AFR the turbo liked.....which is around 40 gallons per hour....OUCH....

My previous 996 WC Cup burned about a Gallon every 4 minutes, fairly thirsty I thought. I did a 1 hour PCA Enduro race at Miller and not much left in the fuel tank at the end of the race.

I'll preface this by saying that my fuel gauge gives me more of an educated guess than a precise measure...
I go through ~1 tank per day at the track in my 924S, so a little less than 14 gallons in about 2 hours of track time (for DE events). I don't have gas cans, so I usually just fill the tank with 93 on my way to the track in the morning.

Totally dependent on the track. We burn WAAAAAYYYYYY more at Watkins Glen than NHMS. LRP is somewhere in the middle with Pocono. Summit is on the higher end. All has to do with WOT time.

997 cups get about 3.5 mpg avergae.
My car got less than 3 when it was running very rich.
A 997 cup can do about 60 minutes at race pace for a stock tank on avg (very track dependent of course but these are avg's I have seen and other i know have seen)

I burn 15-17 gallons per hour in races at either Thunderhill or Sears Point with a 3.6 in a 2200 lb car and, no, it does not run rich. I've never paid too much attention for the sprint races at other tracks, but I know from enduro's what I can do at SP or TH.
