From RL Canada......the old tower finally bites the dust. Such is the price of progress.....

Who am I kidding? I can't WAIT for the new buildings!

It'll be like a whole new track when we first arrive in 2013!

wth?! I loved having Braiden Tire in that building - was great having on-site, in the pits, tire dude. Wondering if they are going to still be on-site after all the renovations.

I'm not going to miss that concrete...particularly at 2 and 10!

My understanding is the tower will now be on the outside of start finish straight and pits extended. As for Braiden. I believe will still be on site

Agreed. Having Braiden there really makes for a great experience.

The demolition you're seeing is just of the control tower (though the garages are also rumoured to be coming down, just not sure when yet).

In any case, Brad (Braiden Tire) is in the garages, and when we talked to him in October, he seemed to think he would be on-site next year no matter what. He also thought he would be able to do heat cycling right at the track, which is pretty sweet.

I really like the visual reference of the concrete patch in turn 2... I understand the one in 10, which was really rough, though

Me, too. It's going to be a very different track without them!

That concrete in 2 creeped me out--I found that sometimes it was grippy and sometimes (gulp) it wasn't.......
