Holy dogpile, Batman!
Black car got turned around, chaos ensued.

I learned from the video that I was looking at the bumper of the car in front of the camera car, as that driver apparently was- as opposed to looking through the corner and seeing the mess unfolding ahead.
When I watched it over again it is obvious if I was the driver and looked far enough ahead, the correct escape move would have been left.
Good learning video. Thanks.

Oooh that sound of metal on metal really scares the bleep out of me even just watching a video...
Agree it appears the black car lost control and spun in the middle of the track visible at the 36 second mark. The cars right behind him seem to react well and get around him as he's on the left of the track. Unfortunately he doesn't stay there long spinning back to the middle and right into the path of the white/powder blue car. Poor bastard never had a chance as his view was blocked by the cars directly in front of him. Just simple wrong place, wrong time for everyone after that though a litle more steering input might have saved the 2 blue cars-maybe. Loved that the car behind the camera car was able to plow his way thru uscathed....
FWIW the slime green car appeared to be bump drafting the car directly behind the spinning black car.....

I understand that with artful extraction the cars didn't come out too bad. All but one drove away. The last ne had a flat. I'm sure some body work was required, though!

I'm still curious why the E-30s do a standing start instead of a rolling start like everyone else in their run groups?

Remember the "Oh Snap!" video a week or two ago where the guy spun and elected to get back on the track going the wrong way?

Take a look at this video (~1:20 is where "it" happens):
Then, take a look at the lap chart, and see where the camera car, #19, placed: http://www.mylaps.com/results/showrun.jsp?id=2279336
Draw your own conclusions on the Twilight Zone that is NASA.............. (LOTS of discussion on our local list about this, though "our" guys there were all running GTS3.)
