Default Motec BTX beacon transmitter needed

Does anyone have a Motec beacon they no longer need? Or does anybody know if any other IR transmitters work with the Motec receiver?

Thanks,
Drew

You can just buy a $180 GPS L10 and do GPS beacons directly in the MoTeC.

Chis' solution is best. Call him direct at MoTeC West.

The CDS solution is way too expensive, and that is coming from their newest rep, me!

I'm looking for telemetry for my Motec M48 so my pit crew can view the Motec data live while I turn laps.
Is that what we're talking about here?

No. We're talking about the OP looking for a replacement lap timing beacon and/or substituting a GPS add-on in lieu of purchasing a trackside beacon.

MoTeC telemetry can be found through MoTeC West, ask for Chris Brown (cbracing).

I guess I should have posted that I have an M8 Motec. I don't believe that the Motec gps models work with the M8. The CDS gps model seems to.

Not much works with the M8, doubt the CDS does. Needs a super slow serial stream to the Pro version of the M8. Time for an upgrade of your ECU!

The GPS-L5 will work with the ECU's requiring serial streams like the M48, M800 and the like. No listing for M8 compatibility.
