Great news.
For the amatures, I wonder what rates will PCA get to host DEs (assuming that will even be an option).

This is so great. Two of the most exciting events I've ever been to were the two ALMS races in Houston around Reliant Arena several years ago. ALMS is so fan friendy - they allowed full access to the paddock and fans could stand mere feet from the cars as they were being worked on and even talk to the drivers and crew as they popped in out of the trailers and work areas. The four-class action on the track with the insane closing speeds and constant passing was just amazing to witness in person (and it must be even better now with five classes). The entire ALMS race experience is simply spectacular...

FIVE classes! (P1, P2, PC, GT, GTC)

ALMS has become one of my favorite series in the world, partially because of the epic GT battles the last few years, partially because it is SO fan friendly. IMO, Indy and NASCAR could learn a few lessons from ALMS in that regard. even at Petit last fall, which had ~100k fans, completely open paddock to everyone. awesome.

Assume IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge will be part of the event as well.
