Default Grand-Am Support Race this Weekend

No one is saying much about this weekend at NJMP.... Quick question: Can I defend, one move, or two moves? Just kidding....

Another rookie experience for me... I am on a roll! For those that were there last year, how far from the middle garages do yo think we'll be paddocked? Are we going to have sufficient space for the race car and tow rig in the same area at least? Probably on the grass? Hopefully we can at least keep the cars on the asphalt...

Just trying to figure out what to bring as for some reason the would not let me rent a garage and suite .... LOL...

Pablo,We will be located 2 sections down from the garages on the grass. We are low on the bill this weekend. You should be able to park your rig right next to your car.You will probably need to park on the grass to keep the lane open. There is alot of traffic.

Kool. Thanks! I'll plan for that then... Hopefully no wrenching (on the grass) will be needed (knocking on wood).

Looking forward to it...

I will also be there...lets hope it doesn't rain too much between now and then. The paddock although sandy can get ugly in a hurry.
We will (should) escape the heat of the last two years.
If you bring a motorhome be prepared to pay $250 for camping. Thats right two hundred and fifty big ones.
We have always put on a good show and hopefully this trend will continue.
I doubt this is a points race but don't know for sure.

Pablo, Get there early for decent parking and if it does rain a lot this week be prepared for some soggy ground. At least heat won't be an issue this year.

Thanks Guys.

Joe.. Can't thank you enough for helping me with the weekend accomodations. Greatly appreciate it. Would have been nice to have your kick-butt Hawk there! I'll try to get there early afternoon on Thursday. That place is going to be kicking...

I have to remember to put the extra 5 rear view mirrors to watch out for the other 40 or so cars that will be making me look like I ran out of fuel! Maybe I should keep my rookie "X" on the back... Hmmmmm...

Pablo,

If it looks like rain, take three sheets of plywood to use for a parking spot. Makes working on the car much more enjoyable

Default Paddock Map

Map attached. The weather forecast could not be better--a big relief after the dustbowl, torrential rain and oven heat of the past four years.

I am taking my rain tires just to get in and out of the grass/sand/mud puddles! Its ben raining down in this area for like 3 days, not always hard (the rain that is), but consistent. Can't complain though as it is looking pretty nice for Fri/Sat/Sun....

I plan on going Saturday, no way I can make it on Mother's Day.

I only see one price listed for each day on the NJMP website. Does anyone know if this price also includes spectator garage access?

I am taking my 4 year old car nut son to spectate on Saturday and trying to figure out the ideal window. Can someone post or link a schedule of who is running when? I checked the NJMP site and can't find one.
