p2 and p3 both 4.0l ex-rolex cars, big times big motors. but i think they sort of got a bit too preoccupied with one another, held themselves and everyone else up and off we went. i settled in quick and just wanted to maintain and extend when possible without burning up the car. any yellow and you can say goodbye to that gap when the pace car gathers the field. my guess is next time out, all things being equal, i think i can get down in the low 25s.just taking my time getting used to the 997 cup.
overall between lime rock and njmp, its been a great learning experience getting used to that car, the non-abs, the speed, the grip levels.
neat car.

there should have been. the two other strong 997 cups were 4liter rolex cars and got too involved with one another, and good for them, they had a nice battle for probably the full race. it let me slip away just about the same time i threw down 4,5 of my best laps of the weekend.
thats the racekeeper system. pretty nice. great for that PCA 13 defense team.
someone asked about blocking and infractions. ..form what i was told, because this wasnt a 'pca' run race, the corner workers were grand am, scca guys and were not calling blocking since well, those organizations dont invoke such ludicrous rules.
in one of the sessions, i was behind a cup, IN PRACTICE, that literally threw blocks on every single turn. every single one for 2 laps. you would have thought it was the last 5minutes of the race. really dude? jsut let me by and lets get on with setting up the cars and learning the conditions. no avail. i pitted, waited 40 seconds and went off in search of clean track.

PaOlo, The "core group" of PCA racers (which includes you of course) were great. The only funny moment for you was your grass spin after a double brake manuever. I wish my camera was running since you did a good job of not shooting back across the track.
I had very little issues. Some other racers struggled a bit. The one Cayman that was DQ'd nearly took me out in race1 after he dived bombed the start (ballsy move which I applauded). It took me 4 laps to clear him then he had good bump with a J car behind me which ended the race for both of them.

It was the tightest racing I've had in PCA that I can remember. Never a moment you weren't racing hard. My thanks to an absolute gentlemen Pablo! I only wish we met under different circumstances.

I seemed to have a hard time in turn 5 all week-end long, but I am glad I didn't affect your race...... much......

We went over T5. Going to power too early with the wheel pinched puts you into a tank slapper. Better to use a wide radius and drive to the outside curbing rather understeer to the edge. I made up a ton of ground in T5. You can still get over 60mph min apex speed there using the inside line if your patient on power.
