April 8th.

It's awesome that the team does the BMW thing for so long, switches to a Porsche and wins first time out. Must be the Porsche was easier to drive!

Steve, DeMan built this car? Do you still have your 997 GS car?

Deman Motorsports also constructed the 4th place BGB car too. It's nice to see a long time Rennlister come so far.

Steve's GS car was the first GS DFI car constructed at DeMan Motorsport, sold to John Forano and now run by the very capable BGB team in Florida.
The Rum Bum car was the second 911 DFI GS car constructed by DeMan Motorsport back in December and now in the hands of the Amazing Joe Varde and Rum Bum Racing.

Congrats to both teams for a stellar job in hoisting Porsche back to the top!

yeah , that was one sweet build. one of my favorite cars of all time. The cage you constructed in that, and in my conti boxster was just outstanding. Its great to see how far the DFI 911s have come in a year or so. Its nice to see something other than the american ponies up front in the conti challenge.

you better go some of them DFI donors because they're gonna come knocking.... that car was fantastic at Barber, a track i probably would not have selected as a good track for a porsche. Congrats on the win!!

That was one heckuva race, especially with the multiple starts. One would have thought they were watching Nascar. Drivers blamed too many cars on the track and speed gaps betweem the classes yet all the major wrecks occured within class and at the start(s).

Glad to see a Porsche, built by a RL'er at the top and exit unscathed.
