Fleadh,

Didn't you win the first GT3 Challenge race you entered, the 2011 Laguna Race in Gold Class?

Are you running the 2012 Season?

It's not difficult with some race experience.

A lot of jack-***-ery in those clips. Glad you came out of it (relatively) intact.

Yessir!

I thought about doing the 2012 Season in the platinum car I bought in December, but decided to work a little on my driving instead (have one main issue contributing to time loss to Pro's). I felt like even if I won an IMSA Championship it wasn't really going to open any doors for me. I'd still need to pay to get into a GT car (ALMS or Grand-Am) in order to prove yourself. If I can be as fast (or within a few tenths) of a good Pro in my own car on the same day in the same conditions, I won't have the problem spending the money to race with them.

I concur w/ analogmike re: Grand-Am once it came to the racing. They're the only people who've checked references and I believe came by the TRG trailer to look at my MoTeC data (and talk w/ Buckler and Pumpelly) before they signed me off for the 24 Hour. This was after I had done 3 official Grand-Am tests without anyone ever asking me if I had a racing license.... Lol!

Anyway, congrats to the winners (and survivors!) of the IMSA Sebring weekend!
Looking forward to watching you guys race at Laguna Seca!

Mike, is this anything you'd like to share? What it might be, and how you intend to correct/learn/accomplish?

Understand if you don't.

I don't mind sharing, but I don't want to hijack the thread. I'll post something in the Coaching thread where it's probably more applicable.

ALMS opened up entries to the GT3 Challenge for one reason, they needed to fill up the grid. 12-15 cars in a race is not very interesting, even if the LMP's and RSR's are some of the most exciting cars in racing. Also the GT3 Challenge cars are a good source of money for ALMS
