Have they even started construction?

I think it just some local permitting stuff. I was hoping someone on here lived locally and knew more.

I'm local and a good friend of mine lives adjacent to the site. I believe that all of the local permitting issues have been solved and construction was supposed to have begun earlier in 2011. I'm thinking that this is not a good time to build a race track. This project has been on and off for about 10 years.

According to their Facebook page, there is progress and this thing is over some big hurdles, about to go.

It's nice to have options but can the NYPhilly Metro area truly support another track? Hard to believe that the numbers support it.

I continue to hold out hope for Liberty since it's about 30 min. from my home, but I am no longer holding my breath.

Alpine did a road show last winter in Newark where they said they were all done with their hurdles....but didn't actually have any further progress to tell. They brought their model of the track. Nice party, with a bunch of Rlist attendees, however.

Alpine and Libertybell are vapor tracks. I think they're more likely to appear on IRacing than in real life. The track up by Syracuse, on the other hand, sounds to have actual progress.

It's looking more and more like Liberty Bell may actually happen...still not holding my breath though.

Not a chance! iRacing laser scans all the tracks in the sim. Can't do that if there's nothing there!
