You did the smart thing, that's far safer car, That should hold its value and be a great learning platform.
I'd suggest adding a wide wink type mirror.... and the little round convex ones for the side mirrors.

Congrats to the OP on the car. Far better solution, and still think (as do many others from the posts) that having a car you can leave at the track will remove some of the subconcious reservations you have about pushing it.

I usually leave for the track before the sun is up. At some point when the sun comes up I dart a look in the rearview mirror and realize it is my car that is tailgating me. I thought I was the only one.
