Default Anyone using Traqdash?

Thinking about picking one up and curious to see if anyone has used one and your opinion of it?

Thanks

Full disclosure, I'm a dealer. But I'm a dealer for a lot of cool tools...

Yep, it's pretty neat. I played with one in February and was very sceptical until then. I didn't think the touchscreen would work with gloves, I didn't think it would be bright enough outdoors and I didn't think the dash would have enough features to obviate connecting it to my computer for setup and to change parameters. Most of all, I was concerned about how hard it might be to justify the upgrade price.

I was wrong on all counts. It's good enough so I'm stocking them. Customer feedback has been exemplary, they've issued several firmware updates to enhance accuracy and address bugs. I plan to use mine this week at VIR.

Biggest benefits are that everything can be entered directly via the touch screen, it's got 310+ start/finish GPS coordinates already in it and the lighting and resolution of the display is great, even for these old eyes in an open car.

I think it's worth it.

I have one but haven't used it yet. It looks great & setting it up was so easy it was fun. Can't wait to use it.

I bought one already and I plan to install it this winter - so far it looks like a huge step up and really cool based on the playing around I've done so far!

I am considering changing from my old g2x to traqmate + dash + go pro integration.

Thanks for the feedback Peter. Sounds like they have it well thought out. Any changes to the software or is it identical to Traqmate?

I sold my G2X and bought one, didnt get a chance to use it last year. I upgraded mainly as everyone in my series uses traqmates and I disliked the previous display - now its seems much more useful and handy to have right in front of the steering wheel. Looking forward to trying it out next year.

I am looking forward to the go pro integration. Manually syncing video
with the g2x is too much of an annoyance for me.

Same as Traqmate. You don't connect the USB cable to the dash, or take the dash out of the car. You remove the SD card and stick it in your computer or card reader, pulling the data off that card. It's cool.

It'll be sweet! Turns the GP on and off, starts recording when GPS lock is secured and when the video is pulled up in TraqStudio, it's already synced.

So you know if they will be able to support multiple GP's?

Dont think picture-in-picture, but there are plans. I think multi GP control is possible, though. Have to wait and see!
