I can confirm we are looking into multiple things to address the off tracks at Spa. Very sorry for the way the event went down, certainly not our intention.

Wow, Kevin B in the house! Amazing! I have been neglecting this thread way too long. I'm sure you guys will figure out the correct solution.

Thanks Kevin!

I was just very bummed since I got back into sim racing in May in a big way and thought we had a strong team. Our homocide was outrageous with a car going into the grass to make a pass. I don’t think we bothered submitting to Nim because that team killed itself shortly thereafter.

It would be helpful to fix the "repair model" in iRacing also so that it can repair aero damage. Nothing worse than to have somebody hit you and then be down 3 MPH on every straight for 23 1/2 hours because iRacing repairs don't allow some aero damage to be fixed. Aero can be fixed in real life easily by replacing panels, it should be fixable in iRacing also.

New damage model is in the works. Not everything will always be 100% fixable though - just like in the real world

Default IRacing League

Hey guys,

Long time since I was on here, I'm hoping to get back into a little more online racing that I've been able to commit to, but it all depends on the schedule.

Is this group still running weekly events? If so, what's the schedule and format?

I don’t think there have been consistent races in some time. I run a GT3 / Miata league with cmsracing. To to their website and get hooked up with discord. We have 30 car fields for the GT3 races. Next GT3 race is this coming Wednesday.

I'd heavily recommend the PCA league, very well run and a range of seriousness through the field. Great community around it too.

OK, Time to get my rig running again. My G27 died just before the first season of the PCA league started and I haven't touched it since. That was my 2nd G27 and I could probably build one from the two dead ones but it's just a matter of time before it does again so it's time to upgrade. Maybe I'll build that one for a 2nd rig someday. My video card was already on it's way out at the time too. I lost one of the 3 monitors and had to run single.

What's the best bang for the buck these days in wheels? i like the G27 pedals with the perfect pedal and I already have two sets of those. Is there a good wheel that will work with them?

Which graphics card to go with? I like nvidia .but cards have come a long way since I built the box five or six years ago and the requirements of iRacing really haven't as far as I know. Probably won't go VR, makes me dizzy.

TIA

Pick up one of these and then you can use any wheel you like as the pedals will now be a stand alone USB device.

Bodnar G25/27 USB pedal adapter.

How can you differentiate the feeling from your normal state Scott?

At the moment it's not so easy.. Having issues with my binocular vision that causes periodic dizziness. Getting old sucks!

Anyone else register for the PCA sim series? First time signing up b/c they are using the RSR although it looks like the Cayman GT4 may be released and swapped beforehand... Maybe some practice beforehand?
