Rennlist iRacing thread

I'm fortunate (or unfortunate) that iRacing came out after I was married. Before iRacing there was LFS and GTR tho. And yes my rig was perma-mounted in my living room lol.
My wife hates my simulator lol. She claims she doesn't but the amount of "last minute domestic requests" that pop up as I head into the basement, every time, suggest otherwise.

Can someone point me to good set up for the gt4 cs, please? As is, the car is a combination of understeer with snap oversteer for me - I cannot figure out how to rotate it consistently. It feels great at low speeds but becomes frustrating at the limit. It could be my driving, but I do not have this issue with default MX5 or RSR setups.
Edit - I think I figured it out. After 3-4 laps it fixes itself. I guess cold tires or low pressures make the car handle a little too abruptly initially.

Theres a link in the description of the video I posted above with a good setup file.

It doesn't seem like you can dial out the understeer but this is my setup at Sebring and it feels ok.
Max rake
Front ARB 1
Rear ARB 6
Soft spring rear
front comp 3
Front Reb 3
Front comp 5
rear Reb 5Front row -1.9mm
Rear toe +1.0mm
Front camber -3.8
Rear camber -3.2
TC 1
Brake bias 48%
As a note this is for Sebring so I had to go with a softer setup. Ordinarily my base would be same with stiffer springs and dampers.

The GT4 is really good... but IMO the Ruf 997 GT3 Track car still the best car in iRacing by some margin.
Pretty similar to the actual 997 GT3, great handling characteristics (easy to drive, hard to be really quick) and a good series with competitive and respectful drivers.

I dropped 1.5 SR in like 3-4 races. I've had races where before the green flag I get hit so much I have 9 points. And once the Cayman is partially damaged, it gets a bit loose and you have to drive it carefully, which causes me to rack up even more points.

What's a good league you're running?

It's a pretty solid group though. Good competition, a couple pretty fast guys. Couple current IMSA drivers in it.
You need to be on FB and join this group (it's how they manage all communication): https://www.facebook.com/groups/519228498460619/
Here's the league page: https://members.iracing.com/membersi...do?league=3001
Usually has races on Tuesday night.
Would be fun.
