The video above was using stock settings. I've tried various combinations, but keep coming back to the stock settings which do a really nice job.
Format is 720p @60fps, mount is the one above on an IO Port.

FWIW, this Sony might be a good option for those trying to hook into Traqmate via the TraqmateHD device. Priced right now at $399. Records in 1080p, & has the LAN-C connection on it.

These cameras in general are much smaller than they appear in the photos. Nowhere near as small as the bullet cams though.

Mike, this is the latest evolution of the CX100, which was the original camera designed to be used with Traqmate HD. Works well, but the files are very big!

First atempt with the 1080xd....I have been useing the old replay and found this one a little bit harder to use. I could not tell if it was on or off .....still learning it...but the video quality was way better. One thing I noticed is it got very hot, anyone else experience this?

Tony's video at 720P was really clear. I can read his gauges on his dash and the display on his IQ3. The RePlay does a great job at balancing the lighting in the interior with the outside light, even on a sunny day, if you are mounting the camera behind the driver. That an the audio quality is excellent.

Mark,

Here it is November 21st and still no word on the hardwire kit. That's 8 weeks from when you made the above post. They originally promised the hardwire kit in July. November is almost done so that makes them 4 months late.

This is getting really frustrating.

I had a track day yesterday and the damn Replay XD1080 ran out of power and shut down on the warm up lap of my best session. I am not going to buy their 12v kit and then buy their hardwire kit.

I may sell the Replay XD1080 and but a Go Pro HD.....

Have you heard anything from them recently???

Good news...it appears the Replay XD1080 hardwire kit will be debuting at the PRI show in Florida (12/1 - 12/3) and will be for sale soon after.

Scott:
I had not received word from them and lost track of this thread so I apologize for that mistake. I read your post above and sent an email to our representative at Stable Imaging to confirm this.

Kind regards,

Well, that's too bad. I had planned on picking one up for the Thunderhill 25 hour, but without a working hardwire kit, no sale.

I just tried the Replay XD1080 at Infineon this last weekend. The video quality was pretty good, though I still need to play around with it to tweak the exposure. On a fully charged battery, it only lasted 3.5 sessions (20 mins each).

I was also interested in finding out when the external mic will be available. I inquired about it with their technical support back in Sept, and the person responded with "it's due out very soon". Hopefully it'll also be release in Dec.

I was at Infineon on Saturday with TrackMasters. I ran in the Mixed-Staff group. What group were you in and what car were you driving? I was driving the car that is my avatar.

I think the exposure is pretty good at factory settings. It may be a little over exposed but it's something I can adjust when processing the video. I recorded at 720p/60 FPS.

I was running in the Mixed "M" group. I was driving a red BMW E30 M3.

You could certainly modify the car charger to be direct wire 12v and get all the power you need. This isn't any different than what you would have to do with the GoPro HD.

I REALLY like the quality of the camera and the video it produces. The compact size is a plus.

That is for the Replay XD.

The Hardwire Kit for the Replay XD1080 will have a screw-in dash Power/REC button and an aux audio-in jack to wire in radio communication or other 3.5mm mini jack audio sources.

Perfect for a race car.....

Scott
