I too have been frustrated by the delay of the remote power + on/off switch, and won't purchase a Replay camera until it comes out. That better be before the start of race season in a couple months!
The provided images do look pretty nice. Now what I need to figure out is
1) If that new control switch was flush mounted on my dash, how the heck would one get at the hdmi on the back of it? Seems like that would only be useful if it needed to be hardwired to a data processor, and not as much so for an external output.
2) If we wanted to run a LONG multidriver enduro (thunderhill 25), we'd still need to remove the cabling from the back of the unit to get at the microSD card to switch it out. So would that mean stop rec/power off/card swap/power on/start record? Kinda complex during a pit stop but still better than what I would I have to do with my current Aiptek, which is pull the whole camera off the mount (ie, not feasible).
So for now... still waiting.

If you REALLY need loooong recording, you could by an external recorder. There are HDMI recorders that would take that HDMI signal out and they can record for hours and hours, especially if you get a system that support SSD drives, you could slap a 240GB drive and get over 16 hours of recording.
I wouldn't want to be the editor that has to process that much footage though

Sean,
I appreciate you taking the time to share your conversations with the Replay Team and by no means want to be hounding you on what, if anything you have heard lately. It's just that you seem to have the inside track on the latest developments.
As I mentioned before, I am interested in viewing the video out on an iPad vs a monitor. Best I can tell I need to convert the HDMI it WiFi to get it into the iPad. Do you know if the hardware solution to start and stop the recording will still allow a HDMI stream out?

Just put an HDMI cable in it when you mount the button, and tie-wrap the other end to the dash or something else in the car.

My Aiptek mount broke this weekend and I came off track with the thing dangling from the mount by the strap.
So last chance for the Replay... looking at OG I see the cigarette lighter power cord but I want true hardwire and the remote start/stop as posted by APKhaos on Page 7 of this thread. Is this accessory available anywhere? Any update?
I'm buying a camera no later than Monday.
