As fun as it maybe from a spectator perspective the Pirellis I think degrade too suddenly too violently and I just think they scew the outcome way too much.

How do they screw the outcome? The tires are the same for each team and seem to have genuinely improved passing in the sport. So far, I don't see the downside.

My feeling is that by midseason, post Monaco, most teams will have figured out the tires and strategy and how to employ them in each situation and venue.

We've seen a trend that teams are no longer doing as many qualifying runs during Q2 and Q3 in order to conserve tires. Friday practice you can use up as many as you want, but you have to give them back to the FIA at the end of Friday practice.

We've seen mistakes by Red Bull where they should have brought Vettel in for a 3rd stop as well as other teams making similar mistakes, but someone like Ross Brawn etc. will get this down. The engineers will simply have to calculate another variable.

My guess is that Malaysia was the exception as most teams went through ALL their tires in anticipation of the rain that never came, so why not use up all your softs first and then go to Inters or full wets. (See McLaren and Hamilton for example)
